BAIV organized this experience especially for a small, intimate group, ensuring that participants did not have to worry about logistics of any kind. Accommodations, transport and scheduling were fully arranged, allowing everyone to focus entirely on the historical significance of the surroundings.
The military-style campsite, set on historic ground within walking distance of Omaha Beach, provided field beds, sleeping bags and a central canteen tent. Despite the wartime atmosphere, guests enjoyed modern comforts such as electricity, showers, toilets, Wi-Fi and various other amenities.
Over seven days, the group followed a structured itinerary through the American, British and Canadian sectors. Expert guides shared stories, insights and lesser-known details that enriched their understanding of the battles, hardships and victories.
Participants from around the world connected with like-minded individuals, forming new friendships while enjoying the support of the dedicated BAIV team.
The journey concluded in Bayeux, where the group explored the historic town center before gathering for a warm farewell evening.

D-Day Experience
Held every five years, BAIV’s 80th Anniversary D-Day Experience brought history to life. Guests explored the invasion beaches, viewed the imposing Atlantic Wall defenses, and followed the paths of Allied troops through villages, bridges, and rolling hills. Traveling in authentic WWII vehicles, they experienced key locations where freedom was fought for; an atmospheric and respectful journey through the events of June 1944.
