During this special yearly World War II re-enactment festival, history was brought vividly to life. Various re-enactment groups presented themselves to the public in historically accurate camps, complete with uniforms, equipment and fully reconstructed American, British and German encampments. Visitors could walk through trenches, fortifications and tent sites, meet the participants and gain an authentic impression of daily life during the war.
BAIV participated with two tanks and a large team of employees. For the BAIV staff, this event offered a valuable and hands-on learning experience: understanding how these vehicles were operated under wartime conditions, what it meant to trust their engineering and protection, and how crews relied on their machines during the pressures of battle. For visitors, it provided a rare chance to see these historic vehicles in action and appreciate their significance.
Throughout the weekend, the invited re-enactment groups, each selected specifically for this event, took their roles with great seriousness. Several times a day they engaged in carefully choreographed mock battles, complete with blank firing, pyrotechnics and historic vehicles. Tribune seating was included with ticket admission, with visitors selecting their preferred time slot.
The result was an immersive, recurring event that offered deep insight into the machinery, the people and the moments that shaped World War II.
